National Forklift Safety Day 2022 

As with previous years, National Forklift Safety Day 2022 is intended to convey an important safety message to the UK material handling industry. NFSD 2022 is focused on the importance of Operator Training.

The 2022 campaign focuses on the importance of the life cycle of operator training and its vital contribution to the safety of all people on your site.

Every year there are serious injuries, including fatalities, to truck operators and to pedestrians and co-workers, which could have been prevented if properly trained staff had followed safe systems of work. In fact, ‘struck by a moving vehicle’ is the second most common cause of workplace fatality, accounting for 25 deaths in the year 2020/21.
